Mark Allen, DO

Mark Allen, DO is a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon. Dr. Allen specializes in total hip and total knee replacement, revision total joint replacement and fracture care.

Dr. Allen received his Bachelors of Science degree in Microbiology from Weber State University where he earned the outstanding graduate award. He then earned his Doctor of Osteopathic medicine degree from Touro University Nevada graduating with the Deans Award for Academic Achievement. He completed his Orthopedic Surgery residency with Michigan State University - COM SCS. In 2016, Dr Allen earned the AOAO Bob Green Memorial Award, for achieving the highest combined written and oral board examination scores in the country. He then completed his fellowship at The CORE institute in Phoenix, AZ.

Dr Allen returns to Phoenix after 5 years of practice in Las Vegas, NV. He brings 8 years of experience and expertise to Desert Orthopedics Center.

In his free time, Dr. Allen enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. You can often find him golfing, skiing or relaxing by the pool.
